Drummer, Capt. Calvin Curtiss’s co., Col. John Jacobs’s regt. ; enlisted June 25,
1778; service to Jan. 1, 1779,6 mos. 10‘days, at Rhode Island; also, descriptive
list of men raised in Middlesex CO.to serve in the Continental Army for the term
of 9 months, returned as received of Justin Ely, Commissioner, by Capt. James
Cooper, at Springfield, July 19, 1779; Capt. Bridge’s[?] co, Col. Faulkner’s
regt.; age, 22 yrs.; stature, 5 ft. 8 in.; engaged for town of Lexington; reported

David Prescott (1751-1813)

Groton. Private, Capt. Asa Lawrence’s co. of Minute-men,

which marched on the alarm of April 19,1775,to headquarters at Cambridge;
service, 6 days; reported enlisted into the army; also, Capt. Asa Lawrence’s
co., Col. William Prescott’s regt.; muster roll dated Aug. 1, 1775; enlisted
April 25, 1775; service, 3 mos. S days; also, company return dated Oct. 6, 1775;
also, order for bounty coat or its equivalent in money dated Cambridge, Oct.
30, 1775; also, account showing sums of money to be paid from the public
treasury to sundry persons for losses sustained at battles of Lexington and
Bunker Hill ; amounts allowed in Council June 13,1776; also, Private, Capt.
Joshua Parker’s co., Col. Robinson’s regt.; enlisted Aug. 2, 1777; Service to
Jan. 1, 1778,at Rhode Island.

Stephen Wright (1764-1857)

Littleton. No entry in MSSRW but his pension submitted in 1855 states he enlisted in the Continental Army in July 1780 for 3 months and served in Col. Cyprian How's Company. 

More Westford Soldiers of the Revolutionary War

Not all the soldiers buried in Westford burial grounds lived in Westford at the time of their service in the Revolutionary War, some are out of towners.  Those who were "townies" are documented on www.westford1775.org where you can find their entries in Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors of the Revolutionary War (MSSRW). As we put together the biographies for the soldiers at Westlawn Cemetery we realized there was no easy way to link to their service records in MSSRW so this site was started to fill the gap. Hopefully, it will also be a place to document research findings on other soldiers and civilians as work continues on our tour of the burial places for Revolutionary War Soldiers and Civilians https://museum.westford.org/revolutionary-war-veterans-and-civilian-casualties/
